Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of brotherhood in Christ. Strengthen us to follow your call, help us carry each other’s burdens, and keep us united in faith and joy. May your Holy Spirit guide us as we grow together. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
Planning Notes
September 22, 2025 – Kickoff Brotherhood Night
- Theme: Discipleship & Brotherhood
- Faith Tie-in: Feast of St. Matthew (Sept 21) → leaving everything to follow Christ.
- Food & Drinks: Burgers & brats, chips, craft sodas/beer.
- Activity: Lawn games (cornhole, spikeball, frisbee) if weather is good; board games if indoors.
- Possible Locations: Outdoors at someones house, weather backup indoor queens school gym.
October 27, 2025 – Saints & Brotherhood Night
- Theme: Saints & Spiritual Battle
- Faith Tie-in: All Saints/All Souls → saints as role models and intercessors.
- Food & Drinks: Chili + More
- Activity: board games
- Optional Guest Speaker: Local priest/deacon on spiritual warfare / men as protectors of the faith.
November 24, 2025 – Christ the King Brotherhood Night
- Theme: Gratitude & Christ’s Reign
- Faith Tie-in: Feast of Christ the King (Nov 23) → making Christ Lord of our lives.
- Food & Drinks: Thanksgiving-style potluck meal. + BYOB
- Activity: Brotherhood Testimony & Gratitude Night — each man shares a story of gratitude or a moment when Christ has worked in his life this year. Close with a “Gratitude Wall” where everyone adds something they’re thankful for.
- Guest Speaker (optional): Local priest or deacon on Christ as King in our daily lives
